Available immediately to EE Small Business plan customers and coming to EE Corporate plans summer 2015, EE’s WiFi Calling requires no app, just connect to WiFi and continue using your phone as normal.

Minutes and texts are billed as normal and once you’ve connected to a WiFi network it’ll connect automatically next time you use the service. So you only need to connect once at work.

Plus, WiFi Calling won’t use up any of your EE data allowance, you’ll be using WiFi, rather than the EE network!

You don’t have to download an app. All you need to do is make sure your phone is connected to WiFi.

Getting WiFi on the London Underground

1. Register Overground

Just text EEWIFI to 9527 and EE will send you a reply with your unique passcode.

2. Open the Virgin Portal Page

Next time you go underground open your phone browser and you’ll automatically be redirected to the Virgin portal page.

3. Sign in on EE

When you’re there, just click on the EE icon to sign in on EE, using your phone number, email and unique passcode.

4. Stay Connected Underground

Once you’re set up, every time you enter the Underground you’ll be logged in automatically (as long as your WiFi is enabled).

Setup WiFi Calling up for iPhone

1. Check if your iPhone 5s, 5c, 6 or 6 Plus has the latest software, by looking in Settings > General > Software Update.

2. After updating your iPhone is up to date, connect to your WiFi, then head to Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calls > to turn ‘Allow Wi-Fi Calls’ on.

3. Once connected to your WiFi, you’ll see ‘WiFi Call’ at the top of your screen and now you’re ready to call and text over WiFi.

1. Connect to your WiFi network.

2. To switch on WiFi Calling on your phone, swipe left from the Home Screen and tap ‘Settings’. Tap ‘Mobile + SIM’. Tap ‘SIM Settings’. WiFi Calling defaults as off. Slide the toggle to the right to turn on.

3. Wait for your confirmation message. Once you’ve turned WiFi Calling on, EE will activate it for you within 24 hours. You’ll receive a confirmation text when WiFi Calling has been activated. The WiFi Call indicator will appear at the top left corner of your screen. You’re now ready to send and receive calls and text over WiFi.

Setup WiFi Calling up HTC M9

1. Connect to your WiFi network.

2. Tap Settings > About Device > Software Updates > Update Now. A pop-up box will appear to recommend you are on WiFi. Tap install to begin the process. Once installation has completed, your phone will automatically restart. You’ll be informed once the process has completed.

3. Tap the Phone icon on the bottom left hand side of your home screen. This will open you phone dialler. At the top right there 3 dots, click to open the menu. Scroll down to WiFi Calling and tap the box next to it.

4. Wait for your confirmation message. Once you’ve turned WiFi Calling on, EE will activate it for you within 24 hours. You’ll receive a confirmation text when WiFi Calling has been activated. You’ll see a new icon at the top of your screen next to the WiFi symbol. You’ll then be ready to make and receive calls and text over WiFi.

Setup WiFi Calling up for Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge

1. If you haven’t received a text message informing you that WiFi Calling has been enabled on your Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 edge, then text ‘WiFi Calling’ to 150.

2. You’ll then receive a message to confirm that WiFi Calling has been activated. This can take up to a few hours.

3. Finally you need to connect to your WiFi, then hit Settings > Application > Phone > WiFi Calling. Tap the little box and a pop-up window will ask you to enable WiFi Calling. Press ‘ok’, and you’ll notice a WiFi Calling indicator at the top of your display. You know what that means – you’re ready to make calls and send messages over your WiFi!

Setup WiFi Calling up for Samsung Galaxy S5

1. If you haven’t received a text message informing you that WiFi Calling has been enabled on your Samsung Galaxy S5 then text ‘WiFi Calling’ to 150.

2. You’ll then receive a message to confirm that WiFi Calling has been activated. This can take up to a few hours.

3. Then, connect to your WiFi network, then tap Settings > About Device > Software Updates > Update Now.

4. Finally after your Samsung Galaxy S5 has finished installing any updates, go to Settings > Call > WiFi Calling. You’ll receive a pop-up notification asking you to confirm whether you want to allow WiFi Calling.

Press ‘Ok’, and you’ll notice a WiFi Calling indicator at the top of your display. At which point, your device is ready to make calls and send texts over your WiFi.
