A1 Comms are excited to announce that they are the official mobile telecommunications partner of the Derbyshire County Cricket Club for the next two years.
A variety of the cricket club’s teams, including players, coaches, and operational staff, will be supplied with super-fast EE-connected mobiles. Events at the cricket grounds are timely affairs, so optimising communications between all parties ensures that everyone can always be in the loop.
The 150-year-old club is a prestigious connection and one that A1 Comms are extremely proud of – the club is historically known for its support of, and deep affiliations within the local community. Initiatives such as the 1870 Business Club provides a meeting space for over 100 local, regional, and national businesses where they can network whilst enjoy some top-quality cricket.
This partnership occurs as the cricket club marks its 150th anniversary, so with this news we’ll certainly be celebrating along with them!
A long and local history
A1 Comms have had a highly successful relationship with the cricket club for almost a decade, and this new deal cements that relationship for future endeavours.
The sponsorship provides a fantastic opportunity for A1 to give back to the community whilst providing the connections to showcase a range of great products and services.
A1 Comms previously sponsored the Cricket Derbyshire Foundation’s T20:20:20 Walkathon, in which fundraisers walked the 20-mile distance from Derby to Nottingham. We also gave a helping hand and donated two TV monitors to the 3aaa Pavilion changing room revamp project in 2016.
Ryan Duckett, Chief Executive of the DCCC, said: “We have had a brilliant long-term relationship with A1 Comms. They provide a superb service and great products at a very competitive rate, and they are a great local company, so there are plenty of wins. It is a boost to know we will be moving forward with them over the next two years.”
The relationship between A1 Comms and Derbyshire County Cricket Club goes beyond telecommunication supplies: both companies are absolutely committed to improving local lives and businesses in Derbyshire. Although the partnership will finish at the end of 2021, we hope our connection with DCCC spans well into the future.
