The new phones were introduced at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked launch event on 7th August 2019, alongside a range of other new Samsung products such as the Galaxy Book S and Galaxy Watch Active 2.
There are two versions of the new note available: the Note10 and the larger version, the Note10+. The Note10 has a 6.3 inch display, with the Note10+ coming in slightly larger with a 6.8 inch display.
The sleek rectangular design of the new Samsung Notes comprises stainless steel and glass, with only minimal bevel. The phone is smartly slim, with a width of 7.9mm. The Note10 and 10+ have been designed with the ever-popular infinity display, with a miniscule front camera so as to impede the display as little as possible.
The Note10 is available in six colours, all with an iridescent shine: Aura Glow, Aura Black, Aura White, Aura Pink and Aura Red. The Note10+ is available in four: Aura Glow, Aura Black, Aura White and Aura Blue.
The camera systems of the Samsung Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ are arguably some of the most impressive features.
There are a total of four cameras on the Note10 and five on the Note10+, which has an additional DepthVision camera. Both phones have a 16MP ultra wide camera, 12MP wide-angle camera and 12MP telephoto camera on the back and a 10MP selfie camera on the front.
This allows users to capture stunning photos, as well as enabling pro-quality videos. You can create various effects such as video bokeh, while automatic video stabilisation allows smooth action shots.
Another clever video feature is the zoom-in mic, which lets you pick out specific sounds to focus on while filming.
Samsung’s S pen stylus has been given an upgrade with the Note10 and now acts as a remote control and magic wand to control your phone. Whether you’re going through a presentation, flicking through photos or adjusting volume, you can do it all with a simple hand gesture thanks to the S pen. You can also use it as a remote control to click through and take group photos from a distance.
These latest offerings from Samsung have a whole host of features that make them ideal business phones. Some have already been mentioned, such as its impressive storage and S pen gesture capabilities. But the S pen in particular can do so much more. For example, text handwritten onto the screen using the S pen can be instantly turned into digital text that you can easily share. For creative professionals, Samsung notes allows you to employ a range of different pen settings to create your own sketches, while AR Doodle employs state-of-the-art augmented reality to let you virtually draw onto the space around you.
